Ekhane Aakaash Neel is a Star Jalsha serial successfully running. It will telecast the 100th episode next week. Yet in so short span it has made up a cult following. People who never watched Bengali serial are watching it. People even watch the repeat telecasts religiously. We all believe Ekhane Aakaash Neel will rewrite the history of Bengali Entertainment.
EKhane Aakaash Neel isn't a serial. It's a beautifully told fairytale, it's a musical shown in a series! It's a montage of love, laugh, cry, pain and every possible human emotions of people of Tulip Nursing Home!

I am a regular viewer of Ekhane Akaash Neel. As I work in the field of development consultancy, I need to be on field trips very frequently. Still I try my best to be updated about it through various online communities and forums.
ReplyDeleteTo my knowledge, it is most smart bengali mega serials in recent times, specially in terms of selecting songs. I am really impressed by its music. Infact I was looking for the email id of Mr. Anindya Banerjee to thank him. Many people like me, who stay outside West Bengal, can come to know about recent modern bengali songs through serials like EAN.
However, though I am a big fan of it, I have started getiing a little irritated about the way the relation between Hiya and Ujaan is handled. The episode telecasted on 25th of December (where Ujaan asked Hiya to meet outside Tulip and Hiya was stuck by various other activities) was really funny. Being in the modern mobile age, how come Hiya can not send a single SMS to Ujaan when she is stuck !!!!!!!!!!! The immediate question that came to my mind was, the director should know that viewrs are not idiots enough not to raise questions about it. The following consequences are also a bit irrational, in some cases quite illogical.
I am really concerned about the TRP of this serial after the current episodes as many viewers may become non-interested to see the problems due to Dr. Romit Sen.
As a big fan of EAN, I would like to request the Director to focus more on Hiya and Ujaan.

Hi...me 2 regular viewer of EAN.There is hardly a day i have missed it....but saturday & sunday r 2 lenthy & life really boring 4 us as bcoz of absence of EAN in our life.
ReplyDeleteIn recent time, I think this is the only Bengali Serial which has the highest TRP & has been able 2 attach with viewers of all age group......THANKS 2 DIR Mr Anindyo Banerjee 4 giving us such a SWEET INNOCENT LOVE STORY...In the words of THOMAS HARDY ,"IT TAKES US AWAY FAR FROM THIS MADDING CROWD." It has its own Sweetness,Fragnance & different 4m other saans-bahu serials..............

More importantly, the songs and music of it...the selection and use of every song is just fabulous..........we just loveit.........
I just love the acting of Rrishi Kaushik, Aparajita & Kousani......they simply are the BEST..........pleaseeeeeeeeeeee focus more on the relationship of UJAAN & HIYA............

ReplyDeleteTo begin with , its good to have this blog! I hope Anindo da does write something and gives us a glimpse into his mind and his thinking, and his undoubtedly interesting experiences about EAN.
The community is of course, a beloved place, where the discussion and the posts are more informal, and perhaps a tad haphazard, atleast I know mine are. I come home at the end of a long day's work, watch EAN and just download whatever comes into my mind or brain onto my posts. Perhaps this will also provide a more relaxed and more personalized forum for reaching out and exchanging of views.
Of course, each to his own, yet I do think that its great that in EAN so much time and attention is devoted to the other characters in the show rather than just the lead romantic pair. I am no different in loving Ujaan-Hiya immensely, but I do love to watch it as a story unfolding in general, the atmosphere , the setting, the characters which form the background of this entire ballad. Without them , I dont think EAN would be what it is today. eg I am sorely missing Moinak, and Abhra da as well. I love all the Junior Docs, each one, i love their individual idiosyncracies, i love neeta's eye rolling bitchiness, Ayan's sense of insecurity hidden in his jealous nature and each nuance that Anindo da serves up every day. Each character and its story has made its own place in the sun, or rather in our minds, and I love to watch them and their particular stories coming out.
I too get teeth-gnashingly infuriated with Dr. Sen, but I cannot help marvelling at Tota's skill and craft. Rishii(sorry i can never get his spelling correct) and Aparajita do not need a word , for so much is written daily about them that I almost have nothing to add. I do say 'almost' though!I reserve my right to speak about them later.
And every night after the show , I do wonder in awe about Anindo da's immense art, his creative touch and the gentle dexterity with which he steers this show. Thank you , Anindo da. Jaano, aami shedin Anindo Bose er gaan shune bhaabchhilam je amaar nijer dada r naam Anindya Basu. Jokhon EAN e dujon anindo aachhen, tokhon bhaalo toh hobei. ReplyDeleteI try to watch Ekhane Akash Neel every night. As I'm in an IT job right now, sometimes I miss the episodes. But I make it sure to see the screenplay on saturday nights.
I watch Ekahne Akashe Neel because, it's the story of friendship, love along with true emotions, that don't seem to be artificial any time.
The use of the various songs starting form RobiThakur to Jakhon Nirobe dure by Anindo of Sahor really mesmerizes the audience. So apart from being a tele soap, EAN has become a great musical.
I also want to inform the whole team of Ekhane Akash Neel that all the members of my family tries to catch every episode of EAN.
Dir Anindo Banerjee previously had cast Rishi Koushik (I think I spelled wrong) and Aparajita Ghosh Das in one of ETV Bangla's UttamKumar's Tele Series Anondo Ashram, which was also lovable to see.
I would like to congratulate Kousanidi for uploading such beutiful pictures in utube.
On behalf of my family and myself I would like wish EAN a grand success and will pray so that EAN can move forward with such grace in the long future.

It really is a pleasure to know that 5 days a week one can escape from the nitty gritties & the grim realities of life into a fairy world where ultimately nothing bad can happen. Here wish fulfilment does come true ... as it came true in the stories by the Brothers Grimm, in grandma's tales from childhood and in all the 1001 dramatised fictions in the world of entertainment. So EAN should be nothing new - everyday, for at least half an hour, it takes us on a tour of wonderland with a modern day Prince Charming and his lady love – how different is it from the Cinderellas and the Snow Whites & the Rapunzel’s?

How nice it is to revisit Rabindranath once again. The well known and beloved songs are given a refreshing facelift through beautiful visualisation. And what can be said about the choice and picturisation of the non-Tagore songs!!!

But it seems unnatural that he remembers that girl Manjari only after being shown that letter.Had his mother loved that girl so much,then he should have maintained contact with them. Idont think that his mother would have liked him to ignore his father and wife. Not a day did we find him care for his father. Would his mother have liked that. Kindly make an alternate girl.(not-Suicide). Ujaan needs to learn a lot from Hiya .But I wish Hiya should play abit hard to get when Ujaan realizes his lapse. Make the Aakash Neel once again.
